Crossness Winter Walk with J D Swann - free event
Crossness Nature Reserve
Join J D Swann and members of the Save Crossness Nature Reserve campaign group for a walk of the nature reserve including the members protected area and bird hide.
Meet at 10.45am outside Belvedere Station at the Kent bound platform 2 exit. Look out for J D Swann with a large rolled up banner! (location: https://what3words.com/dads.words.cable). We will then walk to the Norman Road kissing gate entrance for 11am (location: https://what3words.com/guises.relate.secure).
From the kissing gate we will head out across Norman Road Field (Cory's proposed mitigation site) to the reserve and unfurl the Save Crossness Nature Reserve banner. We will then walk the reserve, including the members protected area and bird hide.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who has not yet had chance to visit Crossness Nature Reserve or for those who do not like walking the reserve alone. Of course, we also look forward to seeing members and regular visitors.
Wrap up warm, bring binoculars if you have them and wear suitable footwear (it will be muddy in places).
